Endoscopic transaxillary thyroidectomy provides an illuminated, magnified view of the anatomy to the surgeon and surgical team. In this short video of an endoscopic total thyroidectomy,  the recurrent laryngeal nerve (nerve to the vocal cords) and superior parathyroid gland (brownish structure) are easily seen.
